5) LOCALS ONLY

The owners of the small restaurant Bicoq’ (2, rue du Coq d’Inde; 33-5-61-25-10-06; www.bicoq.com) should be awarded keys to the city. Not only are they boosting young local artists and craftspeople by displaying their avant-garde creations — including paintings, photographs, tables, chairs, lamps — but the food mostly comes from the region, too.
